Ottawa Titans Seeking Volunteers

The fastest game on two feet is looking for the fastest volunteers on two feet…well not so much fast but dedicated and responsible to help with our 2007 season.  We are looking for fans who are interested in helping at our home games; there are 9 home games plus play offs where we need help with game day operations.  Tasks include working at the front door, selling pizza, setting up and selling team merchandise.  All home games are at Earl Armstrong Arena and starts Sunday, May 13th.  For High School students, this is an excellent way in getting your volunteer hours.  Please contact Elizabeth by phone at 613-867-3592 or by email at operations@ottawatitans.com

We very much appreciate the help of our volunteers.  Please help make our 3rd season another successful one!

On Sunday, January 24th, the OLA's Jr "A" league held their annual overage Midget draft. The Ottawa Titans drafted for the second time since their inception in 2005. Prior to the draft, Ottawa traded the rights to Curry Rice and Peter Jacobs to Akwesasne for the 13th pick in the 2007 draft and other considerations. With the trade, Ottawa had 3 picks in the draft (6th, 13th & the 19th picks).

Ottawa selected the following players:

Kyle Alfred (6th) from Kahnawake
Nick Diachenko (13th) from Clarington

Kyle Alfred played Junior for Kahnawake in the ILA for 2006 and was on the ILA's 2006 Founders team. Kyle is RH and has an exceptional shot.
