Mickey Gilchrist Joins Titans
Ottawa, 2 June 2005 – The Ottawa Titans are pleased to announce that Mickey Gilchrist has joined the club for the remainder of the 2005 season.
 The all-time scoring leader for the OLA Junior B Nepean Knights (202 goals and 230 assists in 107 games), Mickey is a former Jr. B East Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player and two-time All Star. In 2001, he was the first-round draft choice (3rd overall) of the Toronto Beaches Jr. A lacrosse club.
An accomplished hockey player as well, with the Nepean Raiders of the Central Junior Hockey League, he is the 2004 recipient of the CJHL’s Bob Sear Memorial Trophy for sportsmanship and ability.
Mickey Gilchrist has just completed his first year at Middlebury College in Connecticut, where he was the hockey team’s leading goal scorer. He scored the opening goal in a 5-0 victory over St. Thomas University (Minnesota), to give the Panthers their seventh NCAA Division III national championship. Mickey also found time to suit up for five games as a midfielder (1 goal) for the Panthers lacrosse team, the D-III national championship runners-up after an 11 – 10 loss to Salisbury University, on May 29th in front of a record crowd of 20,803 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
